He found himself in a team prepared by Maj. Adams ICrolikiewicz, to participate in the Olympic show jumping competition. Finally, from this group, at the beginning of July 1936, the following were selected: Lieutenant Michal Gutowski on Warszawianka, Lieutenant Janusz Komorowski on Duncan and Capt. Tadeusz Sokolowski at Crossing II. This competition was held at the end of the Olympics, on August 16, 1936, at the main Olympic stadium. On a small square, there were 20 obstacles placed in small intervals, which meant that the riders had to overcome them with a very slow run-up. The course was completed only by 6 teams out of 18 participating in it, but no rider managed to get round the course flawlessly. The Poles were weak, they were not classified in terms of the team, because two fighters: Capt. Sokolowski and Lieutenant Gutowski did not finalize the rivalry.
